I am a beginner knitter and have a gorgoeus mohair yarn I’d like to make your slouchy copy cat hat in-
May I ask you for the pattern, with the same amount of slouch as your nicely adapted pattern, but in a straight knit or knit purl-not in the cabled pattern-to make it much easier?
This may be too much to be asking for-if so, my apologies.
Thanks so much!

Hi, I just wanted to say thank you for the Ski Beanie Pattern that was published in Son of Stitch and Bitch. I made this nice hat for my hubby and it looks realy good. I use Frog Tree Meriboo yarn and I think he might actually use it. Of course if he doesn’t I will. So thanks again for the pattern. I like your slouchy hat too. Maybe I will try that for myself.

I have cast on twice the pattern for your hat. Can you tell me were I am going wrong with round after the ribbing. I M1 and then *k2 M1 to the end but I do not get 115 stitches. With the cast on of 76 stitches, I get 102 stitches. I am lost. I even wrote each stitch down I made and still the same count when finished. Help!!!
and thank you

We are having exactly the same problem as Stephanie. Is there a typo in this pattern?

You never said exactly how many skeins of yarn we need to make this hat? Just gauge…and nothing is more tiresome than running out of yarn. Also, is the pattern on this site the hat you are wearing complete w/your changes to make it ” less slouchy” or is this the original pattern w/o the changes you made?
Thanks for your input,
